ABOUT

For two weeks over the Summer holidays we're running a Skate Camp for kids that love skateboarding, and want to improve.

Whether you're a beginner just starting out, or more advanced, the camp will offer an opportunity to skate long and hard under responsible supervision, with expert feedback throughout.

Kids will get the chance to meet other likeminded skaters, have fun with challenges and games, stay fit and active - all in a healthy, playful, social environment.

Running Monday - Friday at the new Destination Skatepark in Mount Maunganui, from 8am - 12pm for two weeks only from the 13th of January.

So if you're a working parent, or on vacation looking for something fun, active, and exciting to nurture your kids this holidays, then this could well be the solution for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Drop off in the mornings is at 8am, where you'll be met with the coach for the day who'll be taking care of the kids for the duration.

We'll usually set out with some goals, some tricks everyone is working on, and then get to the park and start practicing. The kids will have help and guidance from their coach, filming, dissecting and assisting them on what they need to do to improve.

We'll break off for morning tea to cool down and re-energise, before hitting it again.

We'll periodically mix things up with games and challenges to make things engaging and fun too.

The Skate Camp will be held at the Destination Skatepark in Mount Maunganui.

EQUIPMENT

No equipment provided.

Students are expected to bring along their own gear: Skateboards, pads & helmet.

FAQ'S

Do my kids need any prior SKATING EXPERIENCE?

They'll need a little know-how, but just the basics is fine. Really they'll need enough skills to be able to skate unassisted.

DO YOU PROVIDE EQUIPMENT?

Unfortunately we don't provide equipment, so all students will need to bring their own gear.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT'S RAINING?

If it's raining, parents will be given the option to enrol their child into our Surf Camp (which runs simultaneously), or they may receive a credit note instead.

MY CHILD IS AN ADVANCED SKATER, WILL IT STILL BE SUITABLE?

We aim to push all of our students, whatever their level, and like to think we can help nurture talent across the board.

CANCELLATION POLICY

21 Days notice is required to cancel your booking.

Upon cancellation you have the option to either receive a refund minus 30% administration/setup costs, or you can opt for a 100% credit note to be used towards the same booked service at the next available dates offered with the Mount Surf School.

Less than 14 days notice no refund and full credit issued less 40% administration costs.

Less than 7 days notice, no refund or credit is available.
