THE WHY...
CLEAN OCEANS
We want our kids and future generations to enjoy the ocean and everything it has to offer long into the future.
That's why we're committed to cleaner oceans.
BEACH & WILDLIFE
Our beaches, and the wildlife that thrives in the environment is something we're here to protect.
That's why we're committed to minimising our impact, educating our students, and contributing to local initiatives that support the cause.
CLEAN AIR
The air we breath dictates the quality of our lives.
That's why we're committed to minimising CO2 emissions, to keep NZ air pure, and pollution free.
OUR INITIATIVES

EDUCATION
This is an ongoing effort that involves educating our students and community.
We focus our education initiatives around:
CHARITY
We're committed to giving back through charitable sources that support our vision.
In our short history we've supported local crowdfunding for disadvantaged children, and whale safety in the Bay of Plenty.
We're looking to double down on our efforts and introduce a scheme for helping under privileged children in the area gain access to the surfing and the ocean through our scholarship programs.

COMMUNITY
We're committed to bringing together the community in Mount Maunganui around the shared love of the ocean and surfing.
We regularly hold community events for the local community and visitors to the Mount.
3 FOR THE SEA
We've created an in-house coach policy to adhere to the 'Take 3 For The Sea' initiative of collecting three items of rubbish each time they visit the beach.
On top of our commitment to this cause we're looking to hold local beach clean initiatives through the 2022/2023 season.

RESPONSIBLE WASTE MANAGEMENT & SINGLE USE PLASTICS
All waste produced from our surf school is properly separated, disposed of, recycled and composted.
We aim to minimise the use of single-use plastic wherever possible, with hopes to eliminate single-use plastics over time.
